Plant special features
|Money plant – Marble prince will survive any level of light (such as artificial lights or natural indirect light), but if you want it to thrive really well, you need to provide bright, indirect light or filtered sunlight-the kind it might receive in a western or southern window. Don’t place it in direct sunlight as the leaves may get burnt. Plants in low light grow slowly.
|Allow the top 2″ of the soil of your plant to dry out between watering. They do not like soggy soil, but also do not like to dry out for extended periods of time.
|Keep it in an area with temperatures between 15-30 degrees celsius.
|Prefer a rich but well-draining potting mix that should be kept moist but not wet. Potting mix tailored for orchids, with a few handfuls of sand and a few handfuls of peat moss mixed in, is ideal.
|When your plant fills its pot with root, transfer the plant to a pot that is 2 inches larger than the existing one.
Dos and Don’ts:
Make sure your Money plant is in filtered sun-location. Too much direct sunlight may cause leaves getting burnt.
• You may notice bottom leaves occasionally yellow and die. Not to worry–this is normal. You can cut them off using clean, sharp shears. If this is happening rapidly, it can indicate that your plant is cold, is staying too wet, or is staying too dry.
Styling and décor tips:
Since the Money plant is from tropical southern Asia and it need a humid and bright environment to thrive, a bathroom with enough indirect light or a kitchen windowsill would be a great place for them to grow.
The Money plant- Marble prince is a wonderful low maintenance, tropical houseplant for tabletops for your home or office and an ideal plant for gifting.
